Fantasy and science fiction are particular favorite genres of mine in children's and young adult literature. Oh wow. Looks like I;ve got books to add to my reading list.
I myself am a huge fan of fantasy books. I'd have to say that my al time favorite series would have to be "Fire Ice" by George R. Martin. It's more of an adult fiction but it's incredible nontheless. It's a 7 part series of which four have already been written (the fifth is coming out this year) The text is rich with description, and the plot is full of twists. Reader beware though! If you become attached to characters easily, the author is not afraid to kill off anyone...and I mean anyone. Hope you enjoy.
